YCCE is a prominent institution acknowledged for remarkable engineering, education and research. The goal of the institution is to provide excellent educational environment to the students at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. The institute is the first private college in central India to acquire the "AUTONOMOUS" status by UGC 2010.
Since 35 years the department of Electrical Engineering is a part of YCCE that offers an undergraduate course with an intake of 120 students studying across 2 shifts and post graduate course in Integrated Power Systems supported by central facilities like Central Computer Centre, Central library, Hostel, Gym, Bank, etc. The department is an approved research centre of RTM Nagpur University for PhD and degree program and the faculty is encouraged to undertake sponsored research. Department has framed the syllabus under the guidance of professors of NITs, IITs and premier institutions of the country which is in accordance with the requirements of the industry. Every year top notch companies visit campus to recruit students of Electrical Engineering as well as other streams.
The Department has a rich Alumni base, that has contributed in nation building process immensely. The cohesive group of focused intellectuals having a global perspective in nurturing the students have done exceedingly well and brought laurels to their institution.
